As some of you already know, that has been one of my concerns. The lack of understanding not just from Jacque Fresco but, from other coordinators who not only do not know the work of people on “the ground” and more so have little capacity to show genuine appreciation for others. Many of these reasons why people are concerned now are similar to why I stopped coordinating and no longer advocate the movement but, simply share the ideas and I continue to work with those who embrace a sense of community or as mentioned, “oneness”. Although I feel that’s a crucial part of change, I understand that this “oneness” concept was only implied in some of the methodology behind a holistic approach to possibly resolving our social issues via The Venus Project but, this subjective and abstract “beauty” that some felt and had translated that into how well we treated each other is not something that was pushed by the movement by definition of its coordinating “manuals”.

In my opinion, this is an example of why The Venus Project and ideas like these are a part of what is needed to make change more so from a technical standpoint but, what happens to the relevance of emotional motivations or what I consider the focus of energy and the perpetuation of “oneness” that some of us bring up regularly and addressing the “fan” mentality? This is not the movement for those concepts and has been considered counter to the movements efforts. As some of you may have heard over and over again “we are not here to make friends” meanwhile Peter Joseph has stated that its “real” relationships that will really bring change. So you have an artist (Peter Joseph) and as an artist one develops methods of evoking reactions and actions that are usually without directly stating they wish to have you feel in that manner and not needing credentials to be good at it, which is the reason most of us know of The Venus Project. Meanwhile who have Jacque Fresco who’s analogies are often technical and clearly do not relate to most of our realities.

The very foundation of this was conflicting – the emotions and opinions of an artist to serve as a bridge for change meanwhile, you have the stigmatizing of opinions and the disconnect of a technician towards the advocates and a disconnect between online coordinators and those who have a better capacity to regurgitate whats on The Venus Projects websites and manuals of The Zeitgeist Movement, who embrace this disconnect as a method towards progress absent of emotion towards those who are interacting in real life with real people with real emotions.

Now its being seen on a global scale, issues that have been present since the beginning of this but, often that as been ignored or dismissed as irrelevant, since often what is considered as important to a movement like this one, is if its coming from someone who is recognized as having a valid opinion or is more relevant due to some form of credentials/proof or popular amongst the movements leaders…in a leaderless movement (not coincidentally another contradiction) and now the dismissing of these opinions and the “little” voices has blow up in the movements face. Although in words/text, this was a horizontal structure, it is clear that in action, it is a vertical one and one that was generated on the emotions it evoked through creative expression, not proof or a scientific method. I hope some of you will see that The Venus Project’s concepts and ideals like these are part the tools that can be used to create a better society but clearly not all of the tools. The relevance of human energy (emotions), oneness, critical thinking, mass empowerment, embracing of the abstract/ideas/opinions and real science – this is a more holistic and more all inclusive approach towards a way forward…in my opinion.

I’m working on creating a series of video interviews with – ”Why I Joined The Zeitgeist Movement” as the title. If you do a search
on youtube for “why i joined” you should see a couple of the
videos come up on the first page. If we all start following this template with “Why I Joined The Zeitgeist Movement” as the title and in the tag line also
adding related information such as age or a website that they want to
promote and of course adding your name and or website, it will help
with the branding/marking of the project and promotion of the movement
and increase the chances of it being picked up on different searches
on the net. It does not have to be an elaborate set up, I use a small canon g7.

upload an interview simply re-posting and sending would be grrreatly
appreciated. I hope some of you can join me in the project and that
this goes global. Lets learn from the corporate/government PR models
to promote something that’s actually better far all mankind.

My goal is to show how people, not just that look different but also
have different speech patterns, are of different ages and so forth, who are
involved, so more people feel they relate to what we are doing and
who we’re working with – everybody, as in EVERYBODY. Just as profit
driven companies try to convey, lets convey that same message and be
genuine about it.

Minimizing profiling and understanding that everyone
has something to contribute. Its not about being polished or having the best answers.

The issue is appreciating the diverse capacity of individuals as a

whole. Since this requires a global paradigm shift, lets start
concerning ourselves even more with truly being more inclusive and
sensitive to others. It is the globe we are working on changing right?
We must be in a state of constant development in a broader sense. Its
been great working with everyone, lets keep up the excellent work.

Meeting people in person makes a world of difference and is extrrrrreeeemely important which is why I work to coordinate meetings, meet with other organizations and encourage others to do the same. But, if you can or can’t meet, what we need is a strong core group. Not people who complain but, take action and don’t wait for orders from “leaders” and don’t boss people around but, are looking to learn from one another and teach others. A little complaining is cool but, a lot of it is just a waste of energy. Take action in addressing what makes you uncomfortable when you can.

I feel a lot of the conventional activism people do is great but, is not always as effective in reaching the masses as the net is hence, our global site, the movie which started it all, our online coordination of events etc. And all this yelling and screaming activism started at a time when the internet did not exist. I feel most people are stuck in traditional habits and often want to express there anger by yelling and creating hysteria or fear and I’m with you on that but, it has its place. In my opinion creative mediums are better for me to express that and are other effective platforms of reaching the masses in seconds with the net. Keep the outreach mixed, whether it be music, art, cookbooks, everyday conversations, technology, comedy, fun social outings, conventional activism, theater whateverrrrrr…find what people have a yearning for and fill gap, make a connection with others and connect people with each other.

Peter Joseph said he doesn’t really want to be recognized as “our leader” although people keep looking for that I think because people have that fan mentality or have not found direction to be more autonomous when its needed. When I meet people sometimes they ask about Peter or Diego (the NY site administrator) and my response is don’t worry about what they are doing, they’ll come around if they wish and if they don’t its their choice, as it is yours should you choose to continue or not. If you want to push this, you can…you may even do it better or not, —-> it all counts.

So who’s ready to start working to their capacity, even if its once a week, for an hour daily, or once a month —-> it all counts. People have given us great resources like this website and still people complain. Change your perspectives and appreciate yourself and what your contributions can be with the resources that have been established and relationships that can be strengthened, a sound community weather its it this movement or another.

Remember that we are the movement, if you want to see a world with people who are critical thinkers, are patient with each other and are more collaborative and care about the well being of others and the environment, start with yourself. I can see why doing fund raisers for benevolent causes can give people a wonderful feeling and is a wonderful idea in the intention but, there is something terribly wrong happening here.

Look at the total health spending and compare that to the new cases of breast cancer in the US. Also compare that to the Asian countries on the left. Although this problem has several factors that go unexplored in this example, I hope you can see the value in what this shows.
