That’s really sad. I know what it feels like to be rejected and to feel like you’re not good enough because some executive decides to hire you. Now imagine being rejected over 200 times! over and over and over again.
I avoided this feeling(at least on the 200 scale)by just giving up and realizing my fate was not part of my own decision. But I def understand the desperation and the social stratification not only imposed by friends but FAMILY especially. It’s ugly out there, and they can’t trick me with tax breaks and artificial inflation of the economy. This system is doomed NO MATTER WHAT. I’m just glad I won’t be one of those dumb-founded sheep when it collapses fully, that look around and say: ”What happened??”
This story is tragic. A young, healthy woman kills herself because she can’t find a job. Why isn’t this story all over the news? I guess it was a toss up between this and ”dancing the the stars” and the stars won…how revolting!
Same here…got laid-off @ the end of 2007 and haven’t found work yet. Collected unemployment ’til it ran out, went through my savings…ALL OF IT! and am living on student LOANS and CC! Played right into their hands…more DEBT! Like I don’t have enough of it already. But I stopped looking for a job a while ago because the disappointment and rejection became unbearable. After a while you just sit around hoping you’ll die so you won’t starve to death.
But I have a new strategy now, I’ll work, but only at very low paying jobs ”if” I can find one. NO big boxes, no big corps., no retail etc. Contribute as little as possible to the tax revenue. Consume only what I must to contribute as little as possible to the consumer cycle and do everything possible to KILL the BEAST that is consuming us.

Yea! I started playing again to see how it can be modified….new structures would have to be built (not so hard since most are being designed by venusprojectdesign.com ) because a lot of the structures are pointless structures like police stations, marketing and business buildings.
I am waiting a response from the developers.
