Securing Locations
Screening location almost secured. To be announced.
To replicate the Ztoronto model. We Want to secure monthly public meeting locations either in a University since it looks more established and often has resources and equipment to communicate the message efficiently.
This is also done in the New Jersey chapter. On a side note the NJ chapter will be using the Rutgers university for their Zday event. Its a wonderful space and it will be at ZERO cost. If we replicate this here and use the location price for Zday on materials i think it would be a better way to use the funds instead of renting costs.
Jacquie mentioned a cafe for ongoing meetings as is done by the Houston chapter.
Although these note are a compilation of collaborative efforts to secure a location for Z3 and Zday some of the locations can be used as ongoing meeting locations.

Hans has created a linkage with The Henry George School of Economics. It may be a location for public screenings and Z3 promotion.
If you know someone to connect with one of the locations listed, please feel free to help create the linkage and keep us posted and any developments. Thanks
Event/Activity
Combining NY TZM URL Chalking event with a welcome new members meeting and Z3 poster posting promo. Two initial potlucks will be held at my place Friday evening December 17 at 8pm and one Saturday December 18 12pm.
Location is 350 West 43rd Street between 8th and 9th Avenue. Ask for Roberto Enamorado when you are downstairs.
We are looking for people to video, create materials and chalk sidewalks. You do not have to do all of them it all counts
The goal is to have 25 people show up to each potluck. So see if you can each invite 10 people.
This activity address the previous request for a combined informative meet and activity.
Lets will start using the aspects of the Toronto model at this meeting highlighted below.
The topic will be, Energy – What powers machines and what powers you?
For Public Meetings
-Create an agenda or topic for discussion
-promote on free websites/forums/word of mouth (craigslist, facebook, schools etc)
-Have an attendance sheet and collect emails and have educational materials for attendees to read.
-Have the public meeting/event on a weeknight at a university
Public Meetings Flow
-History of Z1 and the difference or transition into Z2 ideals of a RBE
-Ask people how they found the Movement
-Ask what their expectations of the meeting were
-What skill-set(s) do they have or what do they like to do
-open up the highlighted discussion in the agenda
-Offer people an interesting task – have people do stuff (like in the movie “Fight Club”)
-See if they would be interested in joining the core group and introduce the specific projects
-Set them up with project coordinators
-Rotate members who facilitate the meeting
With Z3 coming up the promotional activities will be weekly, Friday nights and Saturday mornings-early afternoons..

Fund raising
Using the “Chip-in” widget to raise nominal amounts of funds. Ideally we are looking for a core member who is good with finances.
Jacquie is looking into getting books set up to be sold at the event.
*If anyone wants to chip in for a bulk purchase of VP books, contact Jacquie.
I am looking into setting up two avenues for the purchase t-shirts via cafepress and setting up to raise funds with t-shirts we can do via stencil and spray paint to sell in person.
*Sweatshop free comes out expensive but, we will still have the option online.
Here are the online shops for fund raising.
