Teamspeak Weekly Meeting 4/4/2010

On last teamspeak meeting we went over the NYU Activism event we are setting up. We decided to set the deadline of this coming Sunday to be done with the posters.

Here are the volunteers so far:

• Diego – Debt
• Doraw – Unemployment
• James O\’Loughlin – Energy/Technology is hindered by profit system.
• Roberto – Energy

and these are the topics to be covered:

Topics:

• Debt – Go into money creation and how their isn’t enough money in circulation to cover the debt + interest.
• Energy – Highlight different technologies that would make our energy crisis a non-issue (geothermal).
• Constant Growth Economy – Highlight how we live in a finite planet that cannot sustain a profit driven, constant growth economy.
• Technological Unemployment - Demonstrate technologies that promise to replace human labor, and how the profit system promotes the use of such machines. Examples of technology would be the “Contourcrafting”, Electric Vehicles (low maintenance = less mechanics) , etc…

Zeitgeist Cook Book

Zeitgeist Cook Book is an idea that Keith came up with during the meeting.

Zeitgeist Cookbook will be a free ebook that will be a compilation of DIY, affordable alternative technologies that can provide you will a healthy standard of living as the worldwide economy continues to crumble. We will cover many different technologies, including: Hydroponics, Solar Panels, Car Coversion Technologies (HHO, Electric, etc…), and much more.

A wiki has been set up to compile links and materials that will be used as source for the guide.

So join the group and start posting links to pdf’s that might be appropriate for the pdf.
