Adding Videos to Media Site

This guide will help anyone who wishes to contribute relevant and informative videos to our media site:  ZEITGEIST MEDIA.

NOTE: Before you gain access to the media site, you must first sign up to become a contributor by simply replying to this entry :) . Within 24 hours, I will change your role to contributor so that you can start posting videos.

NOTE: All videos must be approved by me :) . This is not because I don’t like you, I think I’m better than you, nor because I think you might post porn, but instead because I want to make sure everything is properly configured. Most likely every post will be published.

After your role has changed contributor, follow these steps to post a video:

NOTE: “SAVE DRAFT” after each step.

  1. Write a Title of the video post, then write a description into the content of the post. content
  2. Select the Category(s) that the video falls under. (Tags are not used at the moment but can be added if you want to)

  3. Add a thumbnail to your video by finding a picture that represents the video, copy and pasting the URL ( url-picture ) into the Upload Box or by Uploading a picture from your computer, then hitting the Update button. thumbnail
  4. Add the Video by copy and pasting the URL ( url-video ) from any popular video website (google, youtube, veoh, dailymotion, dotsub, etc…) into the “Video URL” box, set the WIDTH to 640 and HEIGHT to 480, then hit the UPDATE POST button.

    NOTE: If after you hit the update post and your video doesn’t show up at the bottom of the page, then use the “Embed Code” option. Let me know if you run into this issue.
  5. SAVE DRAFT one last time. You are done :)  publish
