If you're heading to the theatre, don't go empty handed! Take some flyers with you to distribute which discuss both Moore's movie and The Venus Project. A movie which trashes capitalism is a fantastic opportunity to get people to consider a sane alternative to it. If you want to spread knowledge of Fresco's vision this is a great way to do it. At the link below, you can download 3 different flyers each targeted to 3 different audiences: one is to be given to people when they're exiting Moore's movie after they've seen it as it discusses what Moore left out of his movie (including technological unemployment); the other two are to entice people to go to see Moore's movie, one of which is geared to the religious community in particular who might be interested in knowing that Moore's movie addresses religious views of Capitalism and would be good to distribute at churches, religious schools, and the like. You can download the flyers at this link:

Moore's movie is a great opportunity to turn people on to Jacque Fresco's resource based economy/Venus Project because it has people thinking about the nature of the beast and people are already hungering for an alternative that makes sense.

Feedback on the flyers is very welcomed. (Please email me directly at Angie@WhatNewsShouldBe.org rather than through this website.)

best,
Angie

P.S. Anyone knows of any REALLY cheap copy places in NYC? Please email me details! Thanks!

Whoever goes, PLEASE indicate how big the crowd was when you were there. I was very surprised that on opening day in Midtown the 6:40 p.m. theatre was NOT filled. Maybe only 75 percent seats were filled. Moore's doing lots of interviews about the movie all over on TV now, both on regular and cable stations (like on "The View" either today or yesterday) and I really hope this creates great attendance levels. His interview on Good Morning America (uploaded on his website, www.michaelmoore.com I think) was FANTASTIC. I'm surprised this movie where Capitalism is really trashed, and described as "evil" even is backed by (Paramount, I think) and promoted by corporate media even when these corporations - like ABC in the Good Morning America interview bear the brunt of Moore's examples. Since when does the corporate media not act in their own best long term interests like this?? I don't get it. In some of the interviews, Moore comes off in his critique of capitalism stronger, and sometimes weaker than the movie, but to even be discussing the nature of capitalism and examining it like this all over the corporate media in the U.S. is surprisingly shocking! And provides wonderful opportunities to present RBE as an alternative to capitalism. We need to both get people to see this movie and provide additional info to those that do.

Angie, Deven, and I met before the show last evening and saw it together. I thought it was really well done, made me conscious of things I had not known about before. We went to the diner afterwards and stayed until 12:30 discussing it, and making plans for promoting the ideas of RBE as an alternative to capitalism. Moore suggests that Democracy should be the replacement for capitalism, by which he meant the fairness expressed by FDR in a special speech he made in 1943 outlining a "second Bill of Rights", meaning that everyone should be able to work, have housing, food, medical care, education. So, there's some consonance between that vision and the RBE (if you remove the need to work and the monetary system, and add in automation which of course FDR could not anticipate). HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. I plan to see it again, with some more Zeitgeisters if possible. Angie and Deven and I are going to work on further clarifying how to leverage this movie's message to reach potential audience for the RBE concepts.
